Nam Định City (0)Nam Dinh city (Vietnamese: Nam Định) is a city in the Song Hong (Red River) Delta of northern Vietnam, and is the capital of Nam Dinh Province. The city of Nam Dinh is 90 km southeast of Vietnam's capital, Hanoi. From August 18-20 there is a festival held in Nam Dinh called the Co Trach. This celebration honors General Tran Hung Dao, a 13th century national hero who was a commander-in-chief of Vietnam and fought off the Mongols in their invasions of Vietnam

Nha Trang City (0)Nha Trang is a coastal city and capital of Khánh Hòa province, on the South Central Coast of Vietnam. It is well known for its pristine beaches and excellent scuba diving and is fast becoming a popular destination for international tourists, attracting large numbers of backpackers as well as more affluent travelers on the Southeast Asia circuit. It is already very popular with Vietnamese tourists. Nha Trang Bay is amongst the world's most beautiful bays. Tourists can participate in Sea Festival and August- Nha Trang Rendezvous Festival every 2 years. Nha Trang is the site of the Miss Universe 2008 Pageant to be held on July 14, 2008. It will be broadcast live on NBC Television on that date (which will be on the evening of July 13 back in the US.)

Hội An City (0)Hội An (or Hoi An) a small city in the South Central Coast of Vietnam. It is located in the Quảng Nam province and is home to approximately 88,000 inhabitants. The city possessed the largest harbour in Southeast Asia in the 1st Century and was known as Lâm Ấp Phố (Champa City). Some scholars have suggested that it comes from the word "hải-phố" (海浦) meaning "sea town", while others have said that it seems more likely to simply be a shortening of Hội An-phố (會安浦), "the town of Hoi An", to "Hoi-pho" which became "Faifo".. The city, regarded as "Western capital", with an estimated population of 1,121,000 as of 2004, is the biggest city in the Mekong Delta. The city is located on the south bank of Hau River, the bigger branch of the Sông Cửu Long (Nine Dragons River) aka Mekong River. It is 169 km from Saigon, Vietnam’s largest city. Cần Thơ’s climate is tropical and monsoonal with two seasons: rainy, from May to November and dry, from December to April. Average annual humidity is 83%, rainfall 1,635 mm and temperature 27 °C.

The area is considered to be good cropland, and agriculture is an important industry in the province. Bình Dương is also home to a significant manufacturing industry, and in the first half of 2004, the province had the second highest levels of foreign investment in Vietnam. Nike, Adidas, H&M and McDonald’s have set up factories to manufacture goods they sell locally and abroad in the province. Cà Mau City (0)Cà Mau pronunciation is a city in the Mekong Delta region, and located in the southernmost part of Vietnam's inland territory. Vietnam's incumbent Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng was born and raised here. The city is characterized by its system of transport canals and most goods are transported here by boats and barges. The city's population is approximately 181,000 (as of 2008). The majority of its residents are ethnic Vietnamese and Chinese, with a large population of ethnic Khmer. There are 300 Khmer Krom households and 400 Hoa households. Ca Mau city is accessible by road (360 km south-west of Ho Chi Minh City) via National Road 1A or by air (Ca Mau Airport). Ca Mau is administratively subdivided into 8 urban "phường" and 7 rural "xã".

Hà Tĩnh City (0)Ha Tinh is located on the Northern Central of Vietnam, surrounded by Nghe An Province on the north, Quang Binh Province on the south, Laos on the west, and East Sea on the east. Located on the east of Truong Son Mountain Range, Ha Tinh's terrain is both narrow and sloping, tilting towards the east. Sa Pa District, Lào Cai Province (0)Quận Sa Pa (or Westernized spelling Sapa District) is a frontier town and located in Lao Cai Province, north-west Vietnam, and 350km's north-west of Hanoi, close to the border with China. The Hoàng Liên Sơn (or Hoang Lien Son) range of mountains dominates the district, which is at the eastern extremity of the Himalayas. This range includes Vietnams' highest mountain, Fan si pan, at a height of 3142m above sea level. The town of Sa Pa lies at about 1600 meters of altitude. The climate is moderate and rainy in summer (May—August), and foggy and cold with occasional snowfalls in winter. Sa Pa is a quiet mountain town and home to a great diversity of ethnic minority peoples. The total population of 36,000 consists mostly of minority groups. Besides the Kinh (Viet) people (15%) there are mainly 5 ethnic groups in Sapa: Hmong 52%, Dao 25%, Tay 5%, Giay 2% and a small number of Xa Pho. Approximately 7,000 live in Sapa, the other 36,000 being scattered in small communes throughout the district.

Huế City: The Imperial Capital (19) (0)Hue (Vietnamese: Huế - (化 in chữ Nôm) is the capital city of Thua Thien province (Vietnamese: Thừa Thiên), Vietnam. Between 1802 and 1945, it was the imperial capital of the Nguyễn Dynasty. As such, it is well known for its monuments and architecture. Its population stands at about 340,000 people. The city is located in central Vietnam on the banks of the Huong river (Sông Hương), just a few miles inland from the Biển Đông (Eastern Sea). It is about 540 km (335 mi.) south of the national capital of Hanoi and about 644 km (400 mi.) north of Saigon.
